In 2010, he founded HackFwd, a company that invested in the best European software developers. Lars Hinrichs is Young Global Leader (YGL) at the World Economic Forum and a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO). Since 2013 he has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Telekom AG and since 2016 Chairman of the Supervisory Board of xbAV AG. His current project is the Apartimentum in Hamburg, a house with smart home technologies and 45 residential units.
The smart home with 45 apartments is located in Hamburg Rotherbaum and was completed in 2017/2018.
The concept of the Apartimentum is as innovative as its architecture and technical realisation. The combination of modern architecture behind the historic facade from 1906 transforms the Apartimentum into a new building of a class of its own with technical refinements.
XING is a highly successful business networking platform. As Founder and CEO, Lars oversaw its IPO in 2006, making XING the world’s first Web 2.0 company to go public.
